# Reports

## Purpose

This guide explains how to review task activity, filter historical work, and email task reports.

## Who Can Use It

Users with the Reports permission enabled.

## How To Open It

Use the Reports link in the top navigation.

## Main Actions

- review task activity charts
- review daily breakdowns
- filter tasks by date and status
- send a full report by email
- send a single-task report by email
- send a team task report by email

## Report Overview

The reports page provides:

- a chart for tasks per day
- a daily breakdown table
- a detailed task view for the selected date range
- status-based filtering
- email-report actions

## Default Reporting Window

The summary section focuses on the last 7 days of activity.

The detailed task view defaults to today unless filters are applied.

## Filter Detailed Tasks

Use these filters to narrow the detailed task list:

- From date
- To date
- Status

This helps when you want to isolate completed work, in-progress work, or a reporting window for a customer or manager.

## Send A Full Email Report

1. Open Reports.
2. Expand the Email Report section.
3. Enter the recipient email address.
4. Select the reporting date range.
5. Send the report.

## Send A Single Task Report

From the detailed task area, you can send a report for only one task. This is useful when a single task needs review or approval by email.

## Send A Team Task Report

If team tasks exist for your user context, you can send a team task report by email as well.

## Rules And Limits

- valid email address is required for sending
- empty report result sets cannot be sent
- filters affect what appears in the detailed section
- report availability depends on permission

## Troubleshooting

### The chart shows no data

You may not have created tasks during the recent reporting window.

### I cannot send a report

Check that the email address is valid and that the selected date range actually contains tasks.

### My task is missing from the detailed view

Review the current date and status filters.

## Best Practices

- Use a consistent date range for weekly reporting.
- Track task status accurately so status breakdowns remain meaningful.
- Use single-task email reports for focused stakeholder updates rather than sending full exports.
